A Hmawbi military official said that at the beginning of the coup d’état, the Central Veterans Center was forcing people to return to the army on a compulsory agenda. Veterans are divided into three groups: the first group is under the age of 50, the second group is between 50 and 60 years old, and the last group is between 60 and 65 years old.

The directive states that veterans have a responsibility to protect themselves from the West, which is trying to take over Burma. Former military officers who have left the military to work for private companies have been assigned to the Military Intelligence Service.
The veteran also said that the people who were using the telegram account of Han Nyein Oo to arrest the pro-democracy forces were former military officers working for private companies.
